Ballot Issue 5B

If 5B passes, Eagle County School District could offer more competitive pay to retain teachers and support staff, strengthen reading, writing, and math instruction, restore art, music, and physical education, and maintain access to student mental health professionals. Families could benefit from more consistent staffing and a broader range of classes. Residents without children in school could also benefit if stronger local schools help Eagle County remain a place where families live and businesses invest. The property tax increase would scale with a home’s taxable value. (i.e., the district estimates an $11 per month increase for a home valued at $1 million)
