As many of us know, US Citizens elect our president through an electoral college process. Each state chooses a slate of “electors” who cast votes based on the votes of the citizens of that state (you may remember January 6, 2021 and the fake electors crisis). Longstanding efforts to reform or replace the electoral college system have gathered steam in recent years, and we want to hear from experts on proposed alternatives.
As part of our “Be Curious” series, we have invited Dan Lishansky, Chair of the Palm Beach County District of Floridians for National Popular Vote to join us to discuss a National Popular Vote option that works within the existing electoral college structure, and would not require a constitutional amendment.
